Puli Songs Review And Highlights From The Audio Launch Event (T. Rajendar's Special Speech)

The much expected audio launch of Vijay's Puli  took place in a star studded event. With so many highlights from last night and the main attraction of course being all 6 songs from the track list, I am confused to a great extent as to where I must begin.
Alright, let me start with the man who took the entire episode by storm, with his poetic speech and rhythm. No, I am not talking about 'Kaviperarasu' Vairamuthu but the man with many faces, T Rajendar.
He spoke about the recent Vaalu controversy and how Ilayathalapathy Vijay sprang into action by extending his hand of support to his son Simbu despite the fact that Simbu is a fan of Ajith.
"Though he (Vijay) knows that Simbu is fan of another actor, Vijay helped him courteously. In fact, there is a tribute to that particular actor in one of the songs fromVaalu, but still Vijay did not think twice before helping Simbu", he said making all Vijay fans present in the event go wild.
He also started a rhythmic speech in his own style which saw him ending every sentence with the word 'puli'. His speech was enthralling, so much so that Vijay couldn't hold back himself. He ran up to the stage to give T.R a big hug and even honoured him by presenting him with a shawl.

SHOCKER: Arya's Funny Tweet On 'Puli' Might Not Go Well With Vijay Fans, Might Lead To A Controversy

Many eyebrows were raised when Vishal came up with the title 'Paayum Puli' for his upcoming movie right after the title 'Puli' was made official by Ilayathalapathy Vijayand his team of Puli.
If that was not enough to keep the rumour mill in a state of overdrive, Vishal and his team held the audio launch function of Paayum Puli  on August 2nd, the exact date on which Puli's audio launch was taking place parallely.
To make things worse, good friend of Vishal and actor Arya took to Twitter on August 1st and posted, "Verum PULI ellada PAAYUM PULI audio release da. Edhe 'Nuts' edukaade puli da 😝😝 puraitchi Thalapathy@VishalKOfficial. build up ok va mama 😂😂".
Arya's tweet clearly mentions that Paayum Puli  is better than just Puli. He has also said that Paayum Puli  has its 'nuts' intact which is ridiculously hilarious and controversial all at the same time.
Interestingly, Vishal had earlier requested Arya not to attend the audio launch function fearing that he might create a fuss, he had said, "Dear jammy @arya_offl pls don't come for my audio launch #PaayumPuli. Lol last time u created a stir. Dis time don't come.Luv u. God bless".

Orange Mittai Movie Review And Rating: Father-Son Relationship Personified!

Vijay Sethupathi's Orange Mittai  has swooped into many theatres all over the world. Expectations were quite high for this film as Vijay Sethupathi has been portrayed as an old man. Does the film fulfil its expectations? What does Orange Mittai  has to offer? Continue to read our review to know.
Orange Mittai (U): Book Your Tickets Right Away!

Orange Mittai Plot:

The film opens with the death anniversary of Sathya's (Ramesh Thilak) father. Having lost his father exactly a year ago, Sathya a paramedic, receives a call from an elderly person, who lets him know that he requires an ambulance as soon as possible.
Sathya, along with another paramedic, rushes to the old man's house in an ambulance and helps Kailasam (Vijay Sethupathi) to board the vehicle. In the process, he learns that the old man isn't fighting for his life as claimed by him earlier, but he is a heart patient nevertheless.
As these three men begin their journey in the ambulance, Kailasam's grumpy and obstinate nature causes trouble to the paramedics and the course of their journey changes drastically.
Who is Kailasam? What does he really want? What is the cause behind his adamant nature? Answers to these questions forms the crux of the story. Also, an emotional connect between Kailasam and Sathya has been narrated in the latter half of the movie, quite beautifully.

Performances:

As expected, Vijay Sethupathi stands out in his new avatar. His mannerisms as a crabby old man will make you laugh and cry all at the same time.
Kudos to the actor for taking up such a simple yet complicated role and to deliver what is required in a powerful way. His willingness to experiment will only add credibility to his acting career.
Ramesh Thilak comes up with yet another believable performance. He has even tried his hand at sentiment in this flick and his subtle performance in such scenes will definitely open new doors for the actor.

Technicalities:

Orange Mittai  is technically strong too. Biju Viswanath's unique way of narrating a story has worked like a charm in Orange Mittai.
His cinematography too is above par as he has tried refreshingly new angles which elevates certain scenes. With a total run time of 1 hour and 41 minutes, his editing too is as impressive as it can get.
Justin Prabhakaran's background score is the only setback Orange Mittai  suffers from. The music director could've kept his audience engaged with a subtle BGM. His songs though are a huge plus and serves a real purpose in the entire movie.

Overall View:

Orange Mittai  as the name suggests is a bitter sweet film. It emphasizes on a simple yet forgotten rule to live one's life to the fullest. It is also a story that narrates the relationship between a father and a son with a difference.

Sakalakala Vallavan Appatakkar Movie Review & Rating: An Outdated Flick!

Sakalakala Vallavan Appatakkar starring Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Anjali and Soori in lead roles has released today. Directed by Suraj, the movie aims at entertaining its viewers with a heavy dose of comedy. Has it managed to do that? What else does the film has to offer? Read our review to know.
Sakalakalavallavan Appatakkar (U): Book Your Tickets Right Away!

Sakalakala Vallavan Appatakkar Plot :

Anjali and Jayam Ravi are in love with each other and decide to get married. When everything is all set for their wedding, in a cinematic twist, Jayam Ravi is forced to marry Trisha.
Thanks to their differences, their marriage never fructifies and they often end up quarrelling with each other. Realizing that their marriage is leading them nowhere, they decide to file a divorce.
The film then leads us to a mindless melodrama where Anjali and Trisha are made to represent two different parties, belonging to Soori and Jayam Ravi respectively, at a local election.
What is the outcome of this election? Will Jayam Ravi and Trisha find a way to make their marriage work or will Jayam Ravi revive his lost love with Anjali? These questions are answered in the latter part of the film.

Performances:

The only bright performance comes from Jayam Ravi as he shines throughout. While Anjali has been made to flaunt her skin excessively, Soori 's character is aimed at delivering double meaning dialogues.
Supporting actors have done what is required, but if the stage is not strong enough for an artist to showcase his or her skills, the performance will often go unnoticed which is the case in Sakalakala Vallavan.

Technicalities:

The story takes its own time to settle in the first half which is filled with some laughable comedy sequences. But the second half tests your patience completely, for the plot heads to a brainless finish.
Cinematographer U.K. Senthil Kumar makes the entire film colorful with bold choice of colors. His angles though offers nothing new and are pretty straight forward.
Editor R.K. Selva could've shortened the film's second half and Background score by Thaman gets too loud in many places.

Overall View:

Sakalakala Vallavan Appatakkar has nothing new to offer as it is filled with clichéd comedy tracks and double meaning dialogues. Overall, the movie is an attempt to deliver a fresh romcom which turns out to be quite outdated.

Idhu Enna Maayam Movie Review And Rating: AL Vijay's Weakest Film Till Date

dhu Enna Maayam movie review is here. Check it out to know what this romcom has in store for you. The film is directed by AL Vijay and stars Vikram Prabhu and debutante Keerthi Suresh in lead roles.
Idhu Enna Maayam (U): Book Your Tickets Right Away!

Idhu Enna Maayam Plot:

Vikram Prabhu (Arun) and Keerthi Suresh (Priya) are two young lovers who call it quits and break their relationship up for their own good.
After a few years, Arun becomes a local favourite of all college goers and youngsters as he helps them to sweep their respective lovers off their feet, a character which reminds you of Ilayathalapathy Vijay's in Shahjahan.
Fate makes sure that both Arun and Priya meet each other after a few years. Whether or not they resuscitate their lost love, which according to them is magic, forms the remaining story.

Performances:

Performances of veteran actors like Nassar and Ambika adds strength to the movie. Vikram Prabhu looks just too old for the role of a college student and his performance is clichéd and reminds you of his previous movies.
Keerthi Suresh has got what it takes to become a successful actress in Kollywood. The girl is way better when it comes to her lip-sync, if compared with some of the established actresses Tamil cinema currently has.

Technicalities:

The film has some promising technicians like, Nirav Shah handling its cinematography, Anthony at the editing table and GV Prakash taking care of the musical score. In fact, all of them have delivered the goods barring a couple of songs.
But the real and surprising problem lies with the film's writing and narration by its director AL Vijay. It can be safely said that Idhu Enna Maayam is AL Vijay's weakest work so far in his career.
Both first and second halves houses many clichéd moments which tests your patience to the core. To make things worse, the screenplay gets ridiculously predictable toward the end which finishes with an inappropriate climax.

Overall View:

As mentioned earlier, AL Vijay's choice of taking up a romcom has backfired terribly, for the movie is barren.
