Irudhi Suttru Official Trailer Review: Maddy Impresses As A Troubled Boxing Coach

Madhavan, who was last seen in Vettai  way back in 2012, is making a come back of sorts to Tamil cinema through Irudhi Suttru. The trailer of this much anticipated film, in which Madhavan will be seen as a boxing coach, has been unveiled by actorSivakarthikeyan.
The 1 minute 40 seconds trailer suggests that Madhavan's character in the movie might have shades of grey. A troubled boxing coach, who seems to have a problem in keeping his emotions in check with the ladies, combines to form a rather interesting trailer.
Being a Tamil-Hindi bilingual, Irudhi Suttru has some new faces which might augur well for the movie here in Tamil Nadu.
Santhosh Narayanan's background score will definitely be a factor to watch out for when the movie hits the big screen. In the trailer though, his BGM and song might remind you of a track from Jyothika's 36 Vayadhinile.
Going by the trailer, Irudhi Suttru looks like a different attempt from Madhavan which is a welcome move. The movie is expected to release in January, next year.

Thanga Magan Actor Adith Opens Up About Dhanush & His Negative Role In The Movie!

Actor Adith, who will be seen essaying a pivotal role in forthcoming Tamil entertainerThanga Magan, says that actors who work with Dhanush get incredible exposure and reach.

"Even if I were to pay money to work in the film, I wouldn't have missed the opportunity. Actors who work in Dhanush's films get lot of exposure and reach, which you rarely get anywhere else," Adith told IANS.

He plays Dhanush's cousin in the film, which is directed by R Velraj. It also features Amy Jackson and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in important roles.

"It's a lovely story about two cousins. I play a character with negative shades," said Adith, and clarified that his role can't be described as the antagonist.

"It's not a typical Dhanush film with a villain. I've always craved to do good roles and it didn't matter whether I was playing the lead or not. This is a family drama with quintessential elements required to appeal to the masses," he said.

Having starred in lead roles so far in Tamil and Telugu films such as Inidhu Inidhu,Katha and Weekend Love, Adith is joining the big league with Thanga Magan.

He's gung-ho and recalls working with Dhanush as great learning experience.

Eetti Movie Review & Rating: Atharvaa Strikes Back With A Commercial Spear!

After a couple of sombre flicks in Irumbu Kuthirai  and Chandi Veeran, Atharvaa is back with Eetti, in an attempt to revitalize his career in Kollywood. Has he managed to accomplish his mission? Continue reading our movie review to know.
Eetti (U): Book Your Tickets Right Away!

Eetti Plot:

On paper, the core plot of Eetti  looks very exciting. Atharvaa, an extremely talented athlete (hurdler) suffers from a rare medical condition pertaining to his platelets. In short, he cannot afford to have even a scratch on his body as it might prove fatal.
This being his medical condition, he gets himself into trouble when he lock horns with the Chennai mafia after a certain turn of events (which might remind you of the Vijay starrer, Ghilli).
With his and his well-wishers' dreams of winning a National level competition at stake, how the protagonist manages to escape the wrath of his enemies while trying to turn his dream into a reality, forms the rest of the story.

Performances:

Eetti  is blessed with a host of talented actors. Atharvaa deserves a special mention for making the whole movie believable. His efforts to tone his body, making him look like a true athlete and subsequently helping the cause of all stunt sequences, is a standout.
It can be safely said that the Paradesi  hero has carried this film on his shoulders and deserves a lion's share in whatever success this particular flick manages to obtain.
Supporting actors like Jayaprakash and 'Aadukalam' Naren add solidity to Eetti  in the performance department. Both the veteran actors have delivered powerful performances.
While Sri Divya gets ample screen space, not so sparkling chemistry between the lead pair and tedious romantic sequences, makes her performance look nothing more than ordinary.
Comedy portions headed by 'Aadukalam' Murugadoss have not worked and hence contributes to the negative aspects of the film.

Technicalities:

Though the basic plot sounds brilliant, director Ravi Arasu has failed in executing it, which would've otherwise turned Eetti  into a uber-cool thriller.
Screenplay in both the halves manages to keep you interested, barring a couple of badly misplaced songs and romantic sequences.
While Eetti  could've gained through more cuts from its editor Raja Mohammad, cinematography by Saravanan Abhimanyu is pretty much on par with some of the recently released Tamil movies.

Overall view:

Though Eetti  could've been much better than what it is now, Atharvaa's sincere efforts coupled with a decent narration makes this flick, watchable.

Dhanush's Thanga Magan Official Trailer Review: Not Impressive!

Dhanush's Thanga Magan official trailer has released and is already going viral on almost all social networking sites. Directed by Velraj, who had earlier helmedVelaiyilla Pattathari, Thanga Magan has two leading ladies in Amy Jackson and Samantha.
What stands out throughout the 2 minute 53 second trailer is Anirudh's interesting background score. After having attracted positive reviews for the album, Anirudh might score high on the BGM of Thanga Magan as well, once the movie hits the big screen.
Going by the trailer, it looks like Thanga Magan is yet another family-oriented drama with enough commercial elements like action, comedy, punch dialogues and romance to lure all kinds of audiences into theatres, something that Velaiyilla Pattathari  managed to do.
Also, it shouldn't come across as a surprise if the film showcases the difference between love, before and after marriage, from a man's point of view.
However, Thanga Magan's trailer is definitely not one of the best Tamil cinema has produced in recent times. With mediocre cuts, cliched elements, ordinary dialogues and bad make-up, the trailer is disappointing to say the least.

Uppu Karuvaadu Movie Review & Rating: Dialogues Save The Day!

Uppu Karuvaadu, prior to its release, had gathered some expectation only because of its director, Radha Mohan. Has the Mozhi  film-maker managed to deliver the goods through Uppu Karuvaadu? Continue reading our movie review to know.
Uppu Karuvadu (U): Book Your Tickets Right Away!

Uppu Karuvaadu Plot:

The story of Uppu Karuvaadu is nothing new to Tamil cinema. A director like Radha Mohan handling such a hoary script comes across as a surprise.
Karunakaran is an aspiring director and is desperate to find himself a bankroller who can fund his film. With the help of Mayilswamy, he manages to find a producer, played by MS Bhaskar.
Though he agrees to finance his project, he lays in front of them a condition. His daughter, played by Nandita Swetha is a wannabe actress, who knows nothing about acting.
Karunakaran is put in a spot of bother as the producer decides to launch his daughter into the film industry through Karunakaran's movie. What follows is an attempt to turn Nandita into an actress by Karunakaran and his team.

Performances:

Stand out performances comes from Karunakaran and MS Bhaskar, for they have done complete justice to their respective characters.
Nandita Swetha too comes up with a believable performance, but in parts. She might often make you feel that she could've done a bit more in order to provide that complete performance. Other supporting actors have done their part neatly.

Technicalities:

The only lifesaver in the entire technical department are the movie's dialogues. Dialogues have worked like a charm throughout, making Uppu Karuvaadu bearable.
While the cinematography looks very much amateurish, background score too fails to elevate some of the slow paced scenes this movie has to offer.
With an ordinary storyline, Uppu Karuvaadu cries for an engaging screenplay, but unfortunately that's not what you experience in this flick. Screenplay, both in the first as well as second half, is just too slow for one's liking. Comedy has worked in parts, largely because of the dialogues.

Overall View:

Though it is apparent that Radha Mohan wanted to deliver a clean comedy entertainer through Uppu Karuvaadu, his selection of script and the way this film is treated comes across as a baffler.

Inji Iduppazhagi Movie Review & Rating: A Blown-up Flick!

Inji Iduppazhagi, starring Anushka and Arya in the lead, had created decent buzz prior to its release, thanks to Anushka's awesome dedication. But has the film done justice to her commitment? Continue reading our movie review to know.
Inji Iduppazhagi (U): Book Your Tickets Right Away!

Inji Iduppazhagi plot:

The film is basically about a fat girl, who puts her parents in distress as they often fail to find her a suitable bridegroom. Obviously, the problem here is her overweight.
Inji Iduppazhagi also showcases the day-to-day life issues faced by an obese girl and that's about it. The film then narrates the efforts taken by her to lose weight, and that comes with a social message.

Performances:

As expected, Anushka is the scene stealer in this flick. The entire movie revolves around her and the Baahubali  actress has done complete justice to her role. Her performance is one of the major highlights of this movie.
Other notable performances comes from Prakash Raj, who plays a gym owner, and Urvashi (Anushka's mother). Urvashi has yet again flaunted her talent quite convincingly.
As this movie is all about Anushka, Arya gets little opportunity to display his acting prowess. Having said that, he has done his job neatly.

Technicalities:

Though the first half is enjoyable to an extent, the latter half gets way too draggy for one's liking. With stretched climax and a couple of unnecessary songs, Inji Iduppazhagi  does test your patience at times. Not to mention few comedy sequences that fail to evoke laughter.
Nirav Shah's cinematography is top notch and deserves a mention. MM Keeravani's background score elevates certain ordinary scenes and is an added advantage.
What does not work out in Inji Iduppazhagi  is its writing, for a wafer thin storyline is stretched beyond its limit, making the film look boring at times.
Also, for a 'bilingual' the lip sync is horribly out of order as one can easily make out that the film, at large, has been shot in Telugu.

Overall View:

Yes, the film has its issues, especially in the technical department, but Inji Iduppazhagi  can be considered saved by Anushka's terrific performance and a relevant social message.

Thoongaavanam Movie Review & Rating: A No-Nonsense Action Thriller!

Thoongaavanam (Thoongaa Vanam) has released all over the world today. Continue reading our movie review to know what exactly does this Kamal Haasan starrer has to offer.
Thoongavanam (U/A): Book Your Tickets Right Away!

Thoongaavanam (Thoongaa Vanam) Plot:

Adapted from the French flick, Sleepless Night, Thoongaavanam has the same plot as that of the original with minute changes in order to suit the Indian audiences.
Kamal Haasan works for the NCB and is quite popular among his contemporaries. His life takes a U-turn when he lands himself in the soup while handling a bag full of hard drugs.
As a consequence, a drug dealer kidnaps Kamal's son. While Kamal tries to retrieve his only kid, he faces yet another crisis.
Without solving the newly emerged problem, he will not be able to get his son back. How Kamal untangles various difficult knots in order to save his son forms the rest of the story.

Performances:

Kamal Haasan delivers what is expected from him. But stars like Prakash Raj, Kishore and Sampath have shone throughout by coming up with believable performances.
Special mention goes to Trisha, for the actress after taking up a challenging role has delivered the goods. Rest of the cast including Asha Sarath have done their respective roles quite efficiently.

Technicalities:

Cinematography by Sanu Varghese stands out throughout the movie, for each and every frame looks sharp and sleek. Shan Mohammed has come up with some sharp cuts that keeps the audience hooked to this thriller.
Screenplay by Kamal Haasan will keep you guessing throughout which has worked like a spell for this particular movie. Watch out for the pre-climax portions.
Special mention goes to music director Ghibran who has come up with a brilliant background score which adds value to the film. Apart from the movie being slow at times, Thoongaavanam is a technical marvel.

Overall View:

Without any songs and romantic sequences, Thoongaavanam is not your regular Tamil film. After all, who else other than Kamal Haasan can make a Kollywood flick look truly international?

Roy Movie Review: Arjun Rampal's Life Depends On Ranbir's Story

The much awaited Bollywood movie Roy starring Arjun Rampal, Ranbir Kapoor andJacqueline Fernandez finally hits the theatres and here we offer you a first-hand review of the movie Roy.
Directed by debutant director Vikramjit Singh, Roy happens to be a romantic thriller with a mix of action, suspense and romance which certainly is a rare thing in Bollywood.
PLOT:
To talk about the plot of the movie Roy, Arjun Rampal (Kabir Grewal) plays the role of a successful film-maker while, Ranbir Kapoor (Roy) is seen as a smart mysterious thief and gorgeous Jacqueline Fernandez (Ayesha) interestingly has double roles in the film, the other role being of an actress named Tia.
While, Ranbir Kapoor earns money by robbery and he remains untraceable by the police, Arjun Rampal makes a lot of money by making films on the life of Roy, all of which become super-hits at the Box Office. Jacqueline Fernandez also appears as a film-maker and gets mingled with Arjun Rampal who carries an image of a play-boy.
Interestingly, Arjun Rampal's story apparently proceeds with Ranbir Kapoor or, so to say, Roy's story as Jacqueline Fernandez says, "A person can be known by the story he creates and words can lie but not stories." Sounds Complicated? Well, to understand this complication you have to watch the movie.
Performance:
Director Vikramjit Singh attempted to create something unorthodox with the movieRoy with a superb star-cast, of course. Talking about the performance, Arjun Rampal dons the role of a proud, arrogant and successful film-maker pretty well with an attitude. Ranbir Kapoor as a charming and smart thief keeps the mystery in his character intact all through the film, though his presence in the film is comparatively short. Jacqueline Fernandez, apart from adding glamour quotient to the film Roy, also has enough scope to prove her prowess as an actress and the diva does considerable justice to her role. Other than Arjun, Ranbir and Jacqueline, Anupam Kher (as Kabir's father) and Shibani Dandekar (Zoya) also justified their roles.
As a director, Vikramjit Singh tried to add all the necessary ingredients in the movieRoy that are required to have an entertaining Bollywood film but the film's slow pace might waste his effort. Apart from the strong star-cast, Roy offers you with some eye-catching locations and soothing music.
Loopholes:
However, the movie Roy is not devoid of some loopholes. Some of the transitions are little too confusing while, certain scenes appear to be unnecessarily forced which makes the 147 minutes long movie somewhat dragged and slow.
Verdict:
In a nut shell, Vikramjit Singh's Roy starring Arjun Rampal, Ranbir Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez can be a decent watch, for the love quotient and for those who like an interesting script but don't expect much thrill.

Qissa Movie Review: Will Haunt You In A Good Way

Set aside the badla that beckons at the box office this week. Qissa is a killer.
All our lives we try to be what we are not. Some of us lie about our sexual orientation to ourselves or to others. In one way or another every life is layered in lies.
Qissa Movie Review: A Mystifying Masterpiece

Film: Qissa
Cast: Irrfan Khan, Tisca Chopra, Tillotama Shome, Rasika Duggal

Director: Anup Singh
Qissa is a film that strips through the layers of subterfuge that living on the edge entails. The partition of India ripped the country into two. In the film Irrfan, playing the Sardar Umber Singh with majestic believability, walks across the border with his family of a beautiful wife (Tisca Chopra) and three daughters.
The fourth progeny is where the plot thickens. Obsessed with the idea of a male heir, Umber invents a virtual life for his fourth born. She is no longer a daughter. She is Umber's son Kanwar Singh who won't play with dolls. But the dolls will continue to play with her, no matter how hard her delusional father tries to fortify the growing femininity of his daughter with aggressive clannish lies.
Anup Singh unfolds the bewildering and bizarre tale with an inevitability that simply dissolves all disbelief. In a society, culture and country that still favours the male child as the true inheritor of the family lineage, the message that Qissa conveys is both timely and timeless.
The drama created in the screenplay (co-written by the director Anup Singh and Madhuja Mukherjee) is so primeval,it threatens to collapse under the weight of its own drama. The director balances out the incongruities inherent in the theme with a great deal of compelling drama and primeval passion.
You can't help being swept away by the deceit drama and passion of Qissa.Cinematographer Sebastin Edschmid shoots Punjab as a hotbed of political cultural and emotional turmoil.
Not surprisingly the last quarter of the narrative slips into a surreal mode, as Umber, now dead, returns to confront the son he never had. Finally the film is about the ghost of tormented guilt-ridden man trying to come to terms with the wrong done to a son' he never had and A daughter-in-law (Rasika Duggal) he should've never conned.
Irrfan's shared screen-time with his gender-challenged daughter are structured as a subverted tribute to the filial bond that ties all mankind.
Like destiny , Qissa moves in unexpected ways. The performances specially Irrfan's, lift the high drama to another level of articulation where the characters appear to be conversing with their destiny without Edschmid's camera peering into their souls. More than 70 percent of the film is shot in the night, as though the dark recesses in the characters' souls were seeking a way to express themselves outwardly.
Emphatically evocative are the sequences where Tillotma Shome as Kanwar is locked away in her father's crumbling ancestral home in Pakistan with his' bride Neeli. As they try to figure out a way from his gender imbroglio, a glowering state of doom and indignation gathers around the film.
You know as well as the characters do that there is escape from the patriarchal arrogance that Irrfan's character has unleashed on his family. In some endearing way, the theme of patriarchal tyranny in Qissa reminded me of Shoaib Mansoor's Pakistani film Bol.
And though Tillotama Sharma's gender challenged character never acquires the resilient tragic contours of Hillary Swank in Boys Don't Cry, she brings a very high dose of credibility and poignancy to her character, specially in her high dramatic sequence where her character stands naked in front of her father's ghost asking him her true identity.
Rasika Duggal as Shome's reluctant bride is deeply moving. And Tisca Chopra as Irrfan's devoted wife who can't give her husband the one thing that makes his life worthwhile, reminds us again of her staggering versatility.
But make no mistake. Qissa gets the largest measure of its strength and glory from Irrfan.
Like the ghost that follows the film's gender-challenged protagonist Qissa will haunt you forever. It takes the patriarchal obsession with the male heir to a level of lucid expression where geopolitical dislocation and gender ambivalence are locked in a visceral embrace.

Badlapur Viewers' Response: Big Thumbs Up To Varun, Nawazuddin

Badlapur, a revenge saga starring Varun Dhawan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui has opened to good reviews. Fans from all over the world who are watching the first day first show have loved the movie.
This is probably one of those rare occasions in Bollywood when both the critics and fans' views have matched. Social media is flooded with lauding messages addressed towards the makers and the lead cast of the Badlapur movie.
First come first let me make it clear, at any cost don't miss the beginning of this movie, there is a reason the makers have promoted the movie with this tag line and the first 15 minutes will grip you to such an extent that you wouldn't dare move from your seats.

Badlapur Story/Plot:

This movie has been inspired from a real life incident and is a story about two men, one Raghav (Varun Dhawan) whose wife and son get murdered when they run into bank robber, Liak (Nawazuddin Siddiqui). There is a brilliant plot hidden in Badlapur where each character seem so different from what they truly are, be it Jhimli (Huma Qureshi) or the inspector (Kumud Mishra)

Badlapur Cast:

Varun Dhawan has enacted well with respect to the viewers response but critics feel that he was bland and villain Nawazuddin Siddiqui stole the show like in every other film he has ever been in. Actress Huma, Yami Gautam and Radhika Apte have all done a good job and done justice to the characters they play in the film.

Badlapur Movie Review Verdict:

All in all the movie has been loved by most of the viewers, of course there will always be a set of people to whom the movie is not appealing enough. We won't be biased to either, check out the viewers' response towards the Badlapur movie, both good and bad to help you decide whether to watch the movie or not.

Ab Tak Chhappan 2 Movie Review: Disastrous Sequel

Cast: Nana Patekar, Gul Panag, Mohan Agashe, Ashutosh Rana
Director: Aejaz Gulab
Producers: Raju Chada, Gopal Dalvi
Ab Tak Chhappan 2
Story:
Ab Tak Chhappan 2, a sequel to 2004 crime drama starts with Sadhu Agashe (Nana Patekar) retired and enjoying a laid back life with his son in a village. Sadhu Agashe's character which was originally inspired by encounter specialist Daya Nayak plays with kids and goes fishing to while away his time.
The crime scene in Mumbai has just not changed and Home Minister (Vikram Gokhale) summons Sadhu Agashe to get the situation under control. However, a junior cop (Ashutosh Rana) is not happy about this decision.
Even as Sadhu Agashe goes around encountering criminals, tragedy strikes in his personal life again. This makes him take an extreme decision. Gul Panag plays the role of crime reporter.
The story revolves around Nana Patekar and the encounters he makes. Will he bring back peace in state or will he fail is the story all about
Performances:
A decade later, the original film is brutally killed in what could be called a totally unnecessary sequel. Nana Patekar plays his part with ease and masters the role just like the original with some good dialogue delivery in his true style. When it comes ro Gul Panag one wonders why is she even in the film?
Raj Zutshi is a good choice to play the negative character.
Worst production qualities, horrible background music, jaded dialogues, cringe-worthy camera angles, script which is pointless and unimaginative makes this sequel quite disastrous.
Verdict:
Give it a miss in theaters and watch the original at home if you want to save your money!

Dum Laga Ke Haisha Twitter Review: Viewers Loved Ayushmann-Bhumi

Dum Laga Ke Haisha is a quirky and fun movie starring Ayushmann Khurrana and debutante Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles. Though the movie is all about the characters these two play, the entire cast of the movie has given an awesome performance.
The movie's plot revolves around Prem played by Ayushmann Khurrana and Sandhya played by Bhumi. Prem is not happy with the idea of getting married to a fat and chubby girl while Sandhya who dreams of becoming a teacher tries her best to bond with him.
The scenes between them, be it them trying to bond or when they finally start to fall in love, all invoke a small laughter in you. Even a suicide scene in the movie has been turned into a funny event.
The dialogues are the highlight of the movie as each have a hidden meaning. Apart from the two lead actors, even those who play the role of their parents and even friends have all given a noticeable performance.
Sanjay Mishra steals the show with his natural acting and Bhumi Pednekar stands out with her debut performance in this film. It doesn't look like this was her first attempt and may soon climb up the ladder with her 3 film contract with Yash Raj Films.
Ayushmann on the other hand makes you laugh like crazy, these are the kind of roles and movies that suit him and hopefully he chooses to do something similar in future as well.
Viewers too have loved the film and have tweeted in favour of the movie, not one could pick faults with it and that's the proud factor of Dum Laga Ke Haisha.

Dirty Politics Movie Review: Mallika Sherawat's Dirty Torture

The movie Dirty Politics starring Mallika Sherawat finally released today, following a lot of controversies.
Directed by KC Bokadia, Dirty Politics features Mallika Sherawat along with veteran actors like Om Puri, Ashutosh Rana, Anupam Kher, Naseeruddin Shah and Jackie Shroff and here is a review of Dirty Politics.
The film Dirty Politics happens to be a political drama and shows the dark side of politics, comprising corruption, jealousy and sex.
Dirty Politics is supposed to be inspired from Bhanwari Devi and politician Mahipal Maderna's sex-tape controversy, apparently Mallika Sherawat plays the role of Bhanwari Devi while, Om Puri does the role of the politician.
Mallika Sherawat (Anokhi Devi) is a dancer in the film and gets intimate with Om Puri (Dinanath) and makes a tape of their bed scene, only to blackmail the politician to meet some bigger interests. Then starts a game in which Om Puri does all to get hold of the tape and adamant Mallika Sherawat keeps up the pressure on him.
While, Dirty Politics has very little to create any interest, Mallika Sherawat's skin show is the only attraction in the film. Blessed with abusive language, the film fails to create any thrill or suspense. None of the film's songs impressed us and apart from Mallika Sherawat's sensuous scenes and some funny dialogues, Dirty Politics has nothing much to offer.
Mallika Sherawat has yet again proved that she has a lot to learn about acting and though, all the other stars are veteran in the field, they could not save the film from being a 145 minutes long torture.
In one line, watch Dirty Politics only if you have no better things to do.

NH10 Movie Review: No Turning Back For Anushka Sharma After This

NH10 starring Anushka Sharma has been a much awaited flick and the film has finally released. Directed by Navdeep Singh, NH10 features Anushka Sharma, Neil Bhoopalam and Darshan Kumar in lead roles and here is a first hand review of the film.
Anushka Sharma makes her debut as a producer with the movie NH10 and the film created much hype with the release of its trailer itself.
NH10 is based on the story of a couple played by Anushka Sharma (Meera) and Neil Bhoopalam (Arjun) who plan a romantic getaway outside the city. However, the pleasant journey turns into a nightmare for the couple as they come across a gang of criminals and then starts a bloody fight for survival. To know whether the couple managed to escape from the hands of the criminals or they become victim to the brutality, you have to watch the film.
Anushka Sharma's NH10 presents the actress in a never-seen-before avatar and the thrilling story makes the film a good watch. The movie includes all the necessary elements of a good entertainer including, romance, thrill, action and a good plot. Initial part of NH10 shows some cute and adorable romance between Anushka and Neil while, the film soon turns into a thriller in the latter stage. The film shows much violence and a lot of cuss words are used which is justified as you can't expect professional goons to behave like the guys-next-door and it gives a realistic touch to the film.
Although, there is nothing much to criticise the film upon, some of the twists in the film seem to be too easy and convenient.
To talk about the performance of the stars, this is certainly one of the toughest roles played by Anushka Sharma and the actress definitely did a commendable job. Anushka appeared very sweet and charming as the wife and at the same time she performed the action scenes with much realism. Neil Bhoopalam did not have much to offer as compared to Anushka but the actor did all justice to his role. Darshan Kumar who was seen as a sweet and understanding hubby in Mary Kom, is impressive as a baddie too. In one line, all the stars of NH10 gave wonderful performances and the director brought out the best in them.
In a nutshell, Navdeep Singh's NH10 starring Anushka Sharma is a must watch if you like romance, thrill, action and good story, mixed in one single film.

Anushka-Neil's Kiss

'Hey Bro': Written For Ganesh's Self-Satisfaction

Cast: Ganesh Acharya, Maninder Singh
Director: Ajay Chandhok
Hey Bro
Think David Dhawan's Judwaa. Think Milan Luthria's Kachche Dhaage. Think Main Khiladi Tu Anari.
Wish in this aborted comedy, rudely ripped off from the above sources, somebody had given some thought to creating humour out of a plot that seems to have been written only to accommodate choreographer Ganesh Acharya's ample frame.
What do you do with a size extra-large choreographer who wants to play the lead? Simple! You write a comedy about a fat man and juxtapose his avoirdupois against an extra-fit man, preferably a close kin.
So brothers, they are. Twins so unlike each other the laughter should flow automatically.
Or so the troubled brains behind this dimwitted comedy must have thought. If the truth about laughter be told, it flows effortlessly only when the humour is integral to the plot and the actors believe in the material they are given.
The role must come first. The laughter would follow.
Hey Bro takes the opposite route and expectantly loses its way to reach a dead-end. It tries to generate laughter out of a plot written for the choreographer's self-satisfaction.
The plot about non-identical twins hinges on two unlikely brothers thrown together for a series of adventures. It would have worked if the two unlikely siblings possessed the charm and screen presence of Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan inMain Khiladi Tu Anari.
Given the woeful lack of genuine intelligence and basic common sense, the entire farcical edifice crumbles to the ground.
Not one performance in this work of ouch-art is anything but cringe-worthy. The direction is strictly about placing the camera at an angle where Fat Bro (Ganesh) can be pitched against Thin Bro (Maninder) in a way so that they look like they're posing for an ad propagating a crash-diet plan.
Alas, the plan crashes with every passing moment. With each episode you get the sinking feeling that the actors are going to embarrass themselves even more.
And they don't disappoint. Choreographers are better left behind the camera.

Hunterrr Review: Lustful Journey

 Cast:
Gulshan Devaiah as Mandar Ponkshe, Radhika Apte as Trupti, Sai Tamhankar as Jyotsna
Director:
Harshavardhan Kulkarni
Filmmakers said, "The film is not a sex comedy but its about a boy who loves to have sex." They have kept up their word. In short, the film is a lustful journey of a boy who refuses to grow into a man!
Story:
Hunterrr is a lustful journey of a boy Mandar Ponkshe (Gulshan Devaiah) who loves everything about sex and his insatiable thirst for it. The boy who has moderate looks has all the tricks in his hand to woo a girl. He becomes Vasu (who knows to sense vasana) who can filrt around any girl or a woman, irrespective of their age. The film revolves around how he became Vasu and ends spoiling his own life.
Sai Tamankar as Jyotsna plays a married woman with a kid, who gets attracted to Mandar and sleeps with him until her husband finds it out. He meets Tripti (Radhika Apte) and decides to settle down with her. However, Tripti is confused about her decision to marry Mandar.
While he is in love with Tripti and waits for a chance to propose, the Vasu in him pops up to meet his exes.
Will he settle down with Tripti or spoil his life forms the rest of the story.
Performance:
The film which has every bit of drama, action, comedy, romance, suspense and thrill is an entertainer. Gulshan Devaiah as sexually addicted guy has done well. Every emotion that he has portrayed in the film is superb. Radhika Apte's character is strong and she has given a good performance.
Sai Tamhankar has carried her character so well and hot in every sense that they have shown. Veera Saxena as confused, dumb teenager who wants to fall in love for the first time makes one relate to her character very easily.
Songs are good but not the type that remains in your head when you leave the theater.
Negative:
Hunterrr with a good plot makes it confusing for the audience with too many flashbacks. It takes a dip in second half with unnecessary emotional scenes. The film ends abruptly and makes one feel that the makers had no clue how to end it.
Verdict:
Hunterrr is a film with a good plot but with too many flashbacks which irritates. A true Savitha Babhi fan should watch it in theater!
