Vikram has shared his own piece of experience of meeting Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalamwhen the actor was blessed with an opportunity to meet India's greatest visionary when he was serving the nation as the President.

Press Meet: Director Compares Puli With Baahubali, Film's Release Date Officially Confirmed!

A special press meet dedicated to Ilayathalapathy Vijay's Puli  was held just hours back and we bring you all you need to know from the pre-audio launch press meet.

The press meet was attended by the film's director Chimbu Deven, producers PT Selvakumar & Shibu Thameens, music director Devi Sri Prasad, cinematographer Natty, art director Muthuraj and Puli's main stunt choreographer.

Confirming that the film will release all over the world on September 17th, Chimbu Deven thanked Vijay for accepting a film like Puli. But what caught the attention of everyone present at the event was the comparison between Puli  and Baahubali.

Though producer Selvakumar urged everyone not to compare Puli  with Baahubali  as they both are two entirely different movies, Chimbu Deven surprised everyone by saying the entertainment quotient in Puli  will be greater than that of Baahubali's.

It was also confirmed that the work pertaining to the movie's special effects is happening in 6 different countries as reported earlier by FilmiBeat.

Cameraman Natty too thanked Vijay for the opportunity and ensured that Puli  will have all the commercial elements despite being an unique film. He has also said that the movie will be a family entertainer and will attract general audience.

Dileep will romance Madonna Sebastian, the Premam fame actress, in the upcoming comedy entertainer King Liar. The movie is directed by popular actor-filmmaker Laland written by his former direction partner, Siddique.

King Liar revolves around the central character Sathyanarayanan, played by Dileep. He has the disorder of telling lies unnecessarily. Madonna Sebastian essays Anjali, a bold, modern girl who enters Sathyan's life.

Madonna, who is also an established singer, is planning to be active in the film field. She has completed the filming for her debut Tamil movie, in which she essays the female lead opposite popular actor Vijay Sethupathi.

Siddique and Lal, the most celebrated director duo of Mollywood, is joining hands after a long gap of 16 years. Siddique and Lal last teamed up for the multi-starrer movie Friends, in 1999. The movie was directed by Siddique and produced by Lal.

Lal, Asha Sarath, Soubin Shaheer, etc will play the supporting roles. Alby handles the cinematography. Deepak Dev composes the music and background score. King Liar is produced by Ouseppachan Valakuzhi, under the banner Vaalkuzhi Film.

The major portions of the movie will be shot in Bangkok. Dileep and Siddique has earlier teamed up for the blockbuster movie Bodyguard. Lal, on the other hand, is directing Dileep for the first time in his career.

Kumkum Bhagya: Tanu Tries To Commit Suicide; Makes Sure Pragya Leaves Abhi Permanently!

In Kumkum Bhagya, Tanu's drama continues. Tanu is behind Pragya (Sriti Jha) to reach her goal of getting married to Abhi (Shabbir Ahluwalia). Tanu also blames Pragya for Abhi being thrown out of the house.

In the previous episode, Abhi was beaten up by Dadi and was asked to leave the house as he ditched Pragya as well as hurt Dadi. When Pragya asks Dadi to arrange marriage for Tanu and Abhi, Dadi slaps Abhi. Pragya fails to convince Dadi.

Pragya tells Abhi that he is much needed for the house as he is the pillar of the family. Dadi loves him and out of anger, she had uttered such words. But Abhi is not ready to listen and accepts Dadi's punishment as he feels guilty.

It is said that the CD which is priced at ₹125 will be handed over on August 2nd, after the audio is officially launched by the makers of the film, to those who have pre-booked it.

Naalu Policeum Nalla Irundha Oorum (NPNO) movie review is here, Continue to read this article to know what exactly this comedy flick based on four cops has to offer.

Naalu Policeum Nalla Irundha Oorum (NPNO) Plot :

As the title suggests, the movie revolves around four Policemen in a village that hardly requires the service of the police department. Such is the tranquility this village is blessed with.

When there are absolutely no threats to the serenity of a particular place, quite naturally, policemen guarding that place will have to kill time by other means and that's exactly what is narrated in this flick with a touch of comedy.

When everything seems to be peaceful for the central characters, their superiors decide to shut down the police station allotted to them saying that a place doesn't require a police station if it doesn't function as expected.

With their department's abrupt decision, the 4 policemen go into a depression mode. But with no intentions of giving up easily, they decide to spring into action.

What do they do to retain their position without having to get transferred to a new place? Will their village get its lost police station? These questions are answered in the rest of the film.

Performances:

When it comes to the performances, comedian Singam Puli walks away with all the accolades especially in the first half.

Arulnithi's acting is restrained in many ways. There are certain scenes in which he underplays his character where he could've easily emoted in a much better way.

Rest of the supporting actors do not have much to prove in this film. Even heroine Remya Nambeesan doesn't have much of a screen space.

Technicalities:

Though the first half has enough in it to keep you interested, the movie loses its grip in the second half as the director NJ Srikrishna has chosen to replace comedy with a wave of melodrama which hasn't worked out well.

While the first half is a fun riot, the second half is draggy and begins to test your patience. Background score by BR Rejin is surprisingly good which is a positive but his song has hardly any impact at all.

Cinematography by Mahesh Muthuswami is quite refreshing. But the cameraman has failed to experiment with new angles as he had done in his previous movies which comes across as a disappointment.

Editor VJ Sabu Joseph could've used a little more of his virtual scissors in the second half to make the movie engrossing.

Overall View:

With a theme as unique as this, Naalu Policeum Nalla Irundha Oorum could've been much better had it been executed with little more intent. The movie is a rough mixture of comedy and drama in inappropriate proportions.

Chiranjeevi Takes A Holy Dip At Godavari Pushkaralu

Actor-politician Chiranjeevi along with his brother-in-law Allu Aravind and nephew Allu Sirish on Wednesday took a holy dip in the Godavari river as part of the ongoing Maha Pushkaralu.

"It was a peaceful visit to the Pushkaralu. A small ritual was performed after Chiranjeevi and his family members took a dip," a source told. 

Lakhs of pilgrims have taken the holy dip so far at the Pushkaralu, a festival dedicated to worshipping of rivers.The Pushkaralu, which kicked off on July 14, will end on this Saturday. Ryan Seacrest and momager, Kris Jenner hosted the surprise graduation party for Kylie Jenner and the Kardashian/Jenner sisters gathered together for some fun at the Kardashian-Jenner home in Calabasas.

Kylie's rapper boyfriend Tyga, sisters Kendall Jenner, Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian joined by KoKo's rumoured new beau James Harden were all at attendance at the graduation party of Kylie and Kendall. Coming to friends, Gigi Hadid, Khloe's best friend Malika Haqq as well as pop singer Cassie were also at the party.

17-year-old Kylie Jenner shared some pics from her Graduation which read, "Laurel Springs High School certifies that Kylie Kristen Jenner has successfully completed the Course of Study presented for graduation."

For some strange reason, no actors were spotted at this party, only big directors and producers! Looks like it was a power party where only big directors were invited to introduce his lady love to them.

OMG! Actor Vishal's Hunger Strike Against Kerala Government In Support Of Street Dogs

Actor Vishal who is also known for his off-screen heroism has raised his voice against many anti social elements in the past. Of late, he is also been vying for a positive change in the infrastructure of 'Nadigar Sangam', and now it's the struggle to save street dogs across India.

Ask any Keralite and he or she will tell you that stray dogs have become a menace in the state. With the government passing an order to cull rabid and violent dogs to protect its citizens, many animal rights activists have voiced against the government.

Now Vishal too will join the protest by participating in a hunger strike which will be organized by the group 'People For Cattle In India' at Valluvar Kottam in Chennai. The event will take place on 25th July.

According to a report by a leading daily the actor has said, "I am participating as a dog lover. I wanted to raise my voice against the killing of stray dogs. The main slogans of this event will be 'stop cruelty to animals' and 'stop killing dogs in Kerala'."

Jilla actor Mohanlal too had recently shared his thoughts on the government's decision for which he attracted criticisms as his comments were allegedly misinterpreted.
