Filmmakers said, "The film is not a sex comedy but its about a boy who loves to have sex." They have kept up their word. In short, the film is a lustful journey of a boy who refuses to grow into a man!
Story:
Hunterrr is a lustful journey of a boy Mandar Ponkshe (Gulshan Devaiah) who loves everything about sex and his insatiable thirst for it. The boy who has moderate looks has all the tricks in his hand to woo a girl. He becomes Vasu (who knows to sense vasana) who can filrt around any girl or a woman, irrespective of their age. The film revolves around how he became Vasu and ends spoiling his own life.
Sai Tamankar as Jyotsna plays a married woman with a kid, who gets attracted to Mandar and sleeps with him until her husband finds it out. He meets Tripti (Radhika Apte) and decides to settle down with her. However, Tripti is confused about her decision to marry Mandar.
While he is in love with Tripti and waits for a chance to propose, the Vasu in him pops up to meet his exes.
Will he settle down with Tripti or spoil his life forms the rest of the story.
Performance:
The film which has every bit of drama, action, comedy, romance, suspense and thrill is an entertainer. Gulshan Devaiah as sexually addicted guy has done well. Every emotion that he has portrayed in the film is superb. Radhika Apte's character is strong and she has given a good performance.
Sai Tamhankar has carried her character so well and hot in every sense that they have shown. Veera Saxena as confused, dumb teenager who wants to fall in love for the first time makes one relate to her character very easily.
Songs are good but not the type that remains in your head when you leave the theater.
Negative:
Hunterrr with a good plot makes it confusing for the audience with too many flashbacks. It takes a dip in second half with unnecessary emotional scenes. The film ends abruptly and makes one feel that the makers had no clue how to end it.
Verdict:
Hunterrr is a film with a good plot but with too many flashbacks which irritates. A true Savitha Babhi fan should watch it in theater!
