Gautham Menon forays into Acting with Nivin Pauly's next
"Thattathin Marayathu" and "Oru Vadakkan Selfie" fame duo Nivin Pauly-Vineeth Sreenivasan are joining together yet again for a new film titled as "Jacobinte Swargarajyam".
Popular director Gautham Vasudev Menon will be playing a significant role in this movie, thereby marking his acting debut in Mollywood. The director has posted a handwritten first look which reveals about the cast and crew of the movie.
Renji Panicker, Saikumar, T.G. Ravi, Sreenath Bhasi, Dinesh Prabhakar, Lakshmi Ramakrishnan are also part of the cast of "Jacobinte Swargarajyam". The film is expected to release in summer 2016.

Director Bala's next movie 'Tharai Thappattai' starring Sasikumar and VaralaxmiSarathkumar in the lead roles was expected to release in November, as the shooting was accomplished more than a month ago. Now we hear that Bala has planned to release te movie for Pongal next year.
Maestro Ilaiyaraja is composing music for Tharai Thappattai, which portrays the traditional dance art 'Karakattam', and happens to be the 1000th film of the composer. So they are planning for a mega audio launch event, to celebrate this feat.
Also, Sasikumar and Varalakshmi have undergone a long training to learn Karakattam before the shooting was launched.

Taapsee Pannu Turns Down Liquor Brand Endorsement
The Kanchana 2 actress added that she is picky about brand endorsements as she feels they are an extension of her personality.
"I have always been cautious of the brands and products I endorse because I think it helps my audience to form an image of how I am in real. I only endorse products I use or believe in."
"This (liquor brand) definitely doesn't feature in that list and I was pretty surprised that it came to me at first place. It's definitely not a product I would ever endorse, not only because I am a teetotaler, but also because I don't want to propagate the use of the product," Taapsee said in a statement.
On the film front, Taapsee is prepping up for a couple of Hindi movies and will also be seen in Simbu's upcoming film Kaan.
SAD NEWS: Actor Vivek's Son Prasanna (Aged 13) Passes Away
Comedian Vivek's only son Prasanna Kumar Vivek, aged 13, passes away at SRM Hospital in Chennai after losing his battle to brain fever, according to a report.
It is said that Prasanna was admitted in the hospital few days ago and was undergoing treatment to get rid of his health issues, but eventually succumbed today afternoon.
Prasanna is survived by Vivek, Arulselvi Vivek (mother) and two siblings namely; Amritha Nandini Vivek and Tejaswini Vivek.

Jiiva back as "Pokkiri Raja"
Actor Jiiva who didn't have a movie release this year is now acting in three films Kavalai Vendam, Thirunaal and Pokkiri Raja. Pokkiri Raja which happens to be his 25th film has Sibiraj and Hansika Motwani as part of the cast.

Samantha's Maternal Uncle Found Dead Under Mysterious Circumstances, Foul Play Suspected?
Samantha Ruth Prabhu's maternal uncle, Andy Morris aged 58, was found dead at Pallavaram in Chennai. Police officials found his body at his office, which has now been sent to a government hospital at Chromepet for autopsy.
Brother of Ninette Prabhu (Samantha's mother), Andy was working as a manager at a private travel organization and living alone in the city.
Last seen on Saturday (24th October) by a staff from his working place, the exact time of his death will be known only after his corpse is completely autopsied.
"No one looked for him because the staff thought he was on leave", the police has said to a leading daily. Since there were no injury marks on his body, he could've suffered a cardiac arrest before breathing his last, it is said.
Though Police has not suspected any kind of foul play, a case of unnatural death has however been registered under the section 174 CrPC.

First Weekend (5 Days) Box Office Collections Of 10 Endrathukulla & Naanum Rowdydhaan
While 10 Endrathukulla had Vikram and Samantha in the lead, Naanum Rowdydhaanhad an interesting lead pair in Vijay Sethupathi and Nayantara. So which among these two movies managed to shine at the box office?
As it turns out, both these flicks have benefited almost equally from the 5 day weekend. Well, at least in the city of Chennai as the box office figures taken from the capital city looks almost identical for both Vikram and Vijay starrer.
While 10 Endrathukulla has collected 1.65 Crore rupees, Naanum Rowdydhaan has amassed 1.44 Crores by the end of the first weekend in Chennai.
Though the official overseas box office numbers are yet to be made available for 10 Endrathukulla, Naanum Rowdydhaan is said to have collected big for a Vijay Sethupathi starrer, in countries like USA and France.
In the Land of Liberty, Naanum Rowdydhaan has reportedly collected $153K which when converted to INR becomes, 99.4 Lakhs. In France, the comic caper is said to have amassed more than 7 Lakh rupees, which is a first for any Vijay Sethupathi movie.
Rajinikanth's Kabali Will Have A Heroic Fire Sequence In The Flashback Portion With 200 Extras!
"This scene is part of the flashback portion in the film. It features over 200 extras and Rajinikanth comes to their rescue. Actors Ramesh and John Vijay, who essay important roles in the film, are also a part of this scene" a source from the film's unit told IANS.
This particular scene, according to the source, was shot in the Paramount Studio. Being directed by Pa Ranjith, the film features Rajinikanth in the role of a don, and his role is inspired from a real life gangster.
The film also stars Radhika Apte, Dhanshikaa, Dinesh and Kalaiarasan of Madras fame in important roles.
The crew has left for Malaysia where they will start a fresh schedule this week. Kabali is relatively a low budget flick and the shooting is expected to be wrapped up pretty soon, post which the Enthiran star will join the sets of Enthiran 2 which will be helmed by Shankar.

Director Mani Ratnam sure had major plans for his upcoming multi-starrer which initially had some impressive casting that included Karthi, Dulquer Salmaan, Keerthi Suresh and Nithya Menon.
Unfortunately, almost all the leading stars selected to play their respective roles,backed out of the project as it was postponed after the maverick director decided to make it a Tamil-Telugu bilingual.

Suriya a part of Baahubali 2!
There was a news sometime ago claiming that Tamil actor Suriya will be a part of Baahubali-2. But the actor has now comletely denied it as a rumour and has confirmed that no one has approached him for the role.
In a recent interview, he said that he is much eager to play a role in Baahubali, but no one has contacted him.
Currently Rajamouli is in preparations to begin the shooting for "Baahubali - The Conclusion" which is slated for release in 2016.
Madhavan tweets about 'Thani Oruvan' Remake
