Ek Paheli Leela starring Sunny Leone has been a much awaited flick as it's the first movie of the diva this year. Well, the wait is over and here we have a first hand review of Sunny Leone's Bollywood musical thriller Ek Paheli Leela.
Directed by Bobby Khan, the movie Ek Paheli Leela features Sunny Leone in double roles and the film also stars Jay Bhanushali, Rajneesh Duggal, Rahul Dev and Mohit Ahlawat in key roles.
EK PAHELI LEELA PLOT:
Ek Paheli Leela happens to be a film based on reincarnation in which Sunny Leone is seen in dual avatars, one role is of a London-based Indian model (Meera) and the other is of a Rajasthani village girl (Leela).
Sunny Leone along with several other models land up in India, specifically Rajasthan for a photo-shoot campaign and here she meets Mohit Ahlawat (Ranveer Singh) who plays the role of a prince. The duo fall in love with each other and eventually get married.
While, Sunny Leone and her husband were supposed to live happily ever after, things become weird for Jay Bhanushali (Karan) who start having strange dreams. On the other side, Jay Bhanushali starts having weird dreams as he is haunted by the memories from his past life. Rahul Dev (Bhayrav) and Rajneesh Duggal (Shravan) play small but important role in the mysterious plot.
Somehow, Jay Bhanushali is directed towards Rajasthan by his strange dreams and he gets to meet Sunny Leone and the mystery starts to unfold. Nevertheless, in the process of mystery unfolding, a lot of actions and reactions happen among the various characters. To know what the mystery is and how it unfolds, you have to watch the film.
CAST PERFORMANCE:
Sunny Leone is for obvious reasons the main limelight of Ek Paheli Leela and her fans are lucky enough to see two different versions of Sunny Leone, one little dusky village girl and the other is a glamorous model, however both the versions are equally hot.
While, no one can beat Sunny Leone in her oomph factor, the diva has to work a lot harder to match with other Bollywood actresses in terms of acting. Although, Sunny Leone has improved a lot in terms of acting (considering her performance in Ragini MMS 2), the actress needs to focus more on that part. But overall, the actress did justice to both her roles.
Jay Bhanushali and Mohit Ahlawat did considerbale justice to their roles, however Rahul Dev and Rajneesh Duggal have very little scope to impress or disappoint the audience.
TECHNICAL ASPECTS:
Costume choice for the stars of the movie Ek Paheli Leela is pretty good and everyone's look in the film resembled the situation and period of time well; for example, Sunny Leone's varied look wearing short cholis, kurtas, saree and other outfits matched well with the situation and character. Even the background music and set design are pretty good.
KEY HIGHLIGHTS:
To talk about the key highlights of Ek Paheli Leela, it has to be Sunny Leone with her sizzling moves and steamy scenes. After all, when hot Sunny Leone is on screen, any film seems worth watching. Apart from Sunny's skin-show, the climax of the film also has an unexpected twist which certainly will be liked by the audience.
LOOPHOLES:
Although, the writer made a relatively decent script and the story is above average, there are certain aspects which will be questioned by any logical viewer. For example, well-known persons are murdered but there is no involvement of police at all. Another drawback is Sunny Leone's over-acting at certain points. Although, most of the songs are worth listening, as many as 12 songs will make you bored at some point of time.
VERDICT:
Sunny Leone's Ek Paheli Leela has a lot of hot steamy scenes with fine music and an above average climax. This is certainly, Sunny Leone's best film till date (compared to her previous films) and can be a one-time watch (for the oomph factor and considering no other big releases this week).
